On the 15th of May, the youth orchestra from Heide Echo Knegsel existed for 25 years. I was asked to deliver live video on location and decided to team up again with Cas van Rijssel. This internal livestream was projected behind the orchestra. This gave us an opportunity to alternate between angles and show the audience more from the orchestra than what they could see from their seat.
This was my first encounter with live editing, and I must say that I had great fun doing this. All the preparing and full focus on the concert itself gave a great feeling. We used 3 fixed camera angles and one camera for close ups and pans/tilts. Cas van Rijssel was in charge of the moving camera and I was in charge to switch between the camera’s.
