The imagination of a child is often infinite while playing with their toys. In this short film, called “Reverie” (dream like thoughts), a child named Dwight gets lost in thoughts within his own fantasy world which evolves around his toys. 

This film was made in collaboration with Tom van Hunen as our graduation film for the bachelor Image and Media Technology at HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht). Our goal was to go through the entire production of an animated short film, from idea to final product, in a professional way similar to studio’s like Pixar and Dreamworks. We started out with writing the story followed up with making a previz, layout, modelling, animating, shading, lighting, fx and rendering to the compositing stage. While making this short film we split up the workload although we both went through all the phases on our self-assigned part.
